EAST LONDON SHOPPERS INVITED TO SHARE THEIR STORIES

Long known as a friend to and beloved meeting place for the East London community, Vincent Park shopping centre has welcomed shoppers of all ages for over five decades. Now the popular mall is gearing up for its next marketing campaign and inviting shoppers to be part of it! 

The “Moments that Connect Us” campaign will feature an interactive mall display designed to celebrate the unique stories and diverse heritage of the Vincent Park community, by highlighting the lives and stories of the people who make the centre so special— its shoppers. The promotion will be brought to life through large displays in the centre – each one featuring a short story or memory from ten people at a time, with the images rotated every two months. The campaign, will also feature exciting content on social media and the centre’s digital communication platforms. 

To take part, shoppers need to go to the Vincent Park Facebook page, and share a memory that they have of a visit to the centre, what they love about Vincent Park, or what they love about the Buffalo City, in no more than 20 words by 30 November.

The first ten selected participants will be announced in January 2025, and will need to make themselves available for a photoshoot at the mall, during which the campaign photography will be created. Subsequent participants will be announced at in due course. All participants who successfully participate will be gifted with a R 1 000 centre gift card. 

“By sharing our shoppers’ memories, the ‘Moments that Connect Us’ campaign aims to emphasize that Vincent Park is more than just a shopping destination. It’s a place where memories are made and shared. From a favourite family outing that is now a tradition, to daily errands and special occasions, it’s where we connect as a community,” shared Joseph Pasley, shopping centre manager at Vincent Park. 

As a long-standing mall in the area, and with deep roots in the community, Vincent Park is a significant contributor to social causes in the area, frequently getting behind initiatives geared to changing lives for good. The centre is situated in the heart of East London, and houses over 80 stores including banking, dining, groceries, apparel, leisure and lifestyle.
