Savanna Newcomers is bringing all the lags this Sunday the 26th of January 2025, at the Maslow Hotel, Sandton Johannesburg, where comedy fans will be treated to non-stop rolling on the floor with laughter moments.

It’s not just an event that’s designed to provide a platform for emerging comics to showcase their talent, it’s a once in-a-lifetime chance for comedians to drop their side-splitting one-liners that will nurture the next generation of creative minds and expose them to a new world of comedy.

The Savanna Newcomers Showcase has become a much-anticipated event on the annual comedy calendar and is frequently attended by renowned local comedians, talent agents, and scouts. This allows not only the top five, but all newcomers to be discovered and elevate their careers by proving that they can tickle a funny bone or two.

Tumi Morake, the Queen of comedy, will be stepping up to the mic as the host for The Savanna Newcomer Showcase, while our twenty up-and-coming comedians will each perform a five-minute set that will hopefully crack the audience into a laughter that will win them the crown.
