This festive season, Montecasino is rekindling the spirit of the holidays, bringing back their Italian Village of Lights and 3D projection shows, now bigger and better than before!
Their Italian Village Of Lights remains the largest indoor festive lights display in Johannesburg. The custom-made displays incorporate over 285 300 LED lights illuminating their Tuscan village.
Best of all, come rain or shine, the lights can be enjoyed daily until 6 January 2021.
The magic continues onto their Piazza where you can be mesmerised by festive stories told through state-of-the-art 3D projection shows screened onto the façade of their Sun Square Hotel. Weather Permitting, this is a must see experience and is completely free of charge, with shows running daily at 19h45 and 20h45 until 30 December 2020.
Says Mike Page, Director of Operations for Montecasino, “The world has been through the toughest of times and we’re all hoping for a bright 2021. It’s important in what’s left of 2020 to rekindle the joy of the Festive period; safely and responsibly.
If there is one thing that’s going to bring back the festive cheer it’s this.”
While Montecasino may bring their magic to Johannesburg, they still adhere to all Government regulated Covid-19 protocols. Visitors to the complex are reminded to wear their masks at all times and keep a safe distance from other groups.
The complex will also be adhering to curfew on New Year’s Eve, closing at 23h30 or early, should they reach capacity before curfew.
