It’s the beverage of choice for Starbucks fans around the world – and now it’s in South Africa for a limited season.
It’s the Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks, available from 5 September to 5 November.
Pumpkin Spice Latte, known by enthusiasts as PSL, is a fashionable seasonal accessory with a taste to match. Espresso and steamed milk combine with a blend of pumpkin and traditional spice flavours of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and ginger, and is topped with flair – whipped cream and pumpkin spice.
Adrian Maizey, owner and CEO of Rand Capital Coffee, the custodian of Starbucks in Southern Africa, says, “Starbucks fans have been anticipating this signature seasonal beverage since last year, and we are proud that this year South Africans will once again be able to join the fashionistas in their quest to be at the forefront of taste trends. We look forward to South Africa’s post-tasting posts that we know will echo the annual global thrill at the return of PSL onto Starbucks menus.”
Starbucks Southern Africa is strengthening its position in the local market, with Cape Town store openings taking place as from November 2020, and exciting tastes, fashions and promotions launching into the stores to titillate the discerning taste buds of South Africa’s coffee lovers.
Starbucks began in 1971 as a roaster and retailer of beans, ground coffee, tea and spices, with a single store in Seattle. Today the company connects with millions of customers every day with its own special taste and offering that has seen the company grow to more than 30,000 retail stores in 80 markets.
