5FM KICKS OFF 2019 LIVING LOUD!

E5FM invites you to live loud with them in the coming months. The youthful station kicks off 2019 with verve, promising nothing but high-energy parties and partnerships as the station gets into gear.

For the month of February the station intends on living Ultra Loud! 5FM has previously enjoyed a great media partnership with Ultra South Africa and 2019 sees the renewed partnership with the renowned dance event. The station will be hosting Free Ticket Friday giveaways all month long in February, both on-air and on their digital platforms where listeners can win the coveted tickets to the concert in either Johannesburg and Cape Town. Ultra South Africa kicks off in The Mother City on Friday,1 March at The Ostrich Farm followed by the Johannesburg leg at The Expo Centre, Nasrec on Saturday 2 March. Headlining acts include  internationals like The Chainsmokers, Above & Beyond, Martin Garrix and local acts Black Coffee, Culoe de Song and Shimza. 5FM DJs on the decks on the Samsung Galaxy stage include Roger Goode, Kyle Cassim and Das Kapital. Tickets are still available, starting from R650, at https://ultrasouthafrica.com/tickets.

This year, 5FM celebrates the third year in partnership with the FNB Varsity Sport, presented by Steinhoff International. The university-level sporting development association launched Varsity Cup last week, with the first rugby game of the season on Monday, 4 February at UJ Stadium with FNB UJ taking on FNB NWU. The Thabooty Drive (Monday – Friday; 15:00 – 18:00) will broadcast live from the campus. Smash Afrika with Live @ Night(Monday – Thursday; 19: 00 – 22:00) will broadcast live from the FNB UCT against FNB Maties game on 11 February and NWU vs UP-TUKS in Potchefstroom on 18 March.

The biggest action sporting events on the calendar,  Ult.X, kicks off in Sun City from 15 – 17 March where some of the best in African and international athletes from 28 countries compete in various action sporting codes from BMX and Skate to Freestyle Motorcross (FMX) and Surf.

5FM will broadcast live from Sun City over the course of event with The Forbes and Fix Show (Monday – Thursday, 12:00 – 15:00) on Friday, 15 March, The Top 40 with Nick Hamman (Saturdays, 10:00 – 14:00) on Saturday, 16 March and The Weekend Playdate with Nicole da Silva (Saturdays & Sundays, 14:00 – 17:00) on Sunday, 17 March.
