It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and Hyde Park Corner’s halls will be decked with boughs of holly on Thursday 2nd November 2017.
While the elves are busy in the workshop preparing for Christmas, Father Christmas has taken some time out of his busy schedule, and will be available for photo opportunities in The Cortina Court from 4-8pm.
Children can register in front of Cosmetics Gallery from 4pm, and the first 80 children will qualify for Artjamming™ as well as a photograph with Father Christmas and access to a Candyland sweet installation.
Artjamming™ is the “art of paintertainment”whether it’s playing, painting, sponging or spraying, it’s about getting a blank canvas, putting on an apron and unleashing creativity that makes Artjamming™ the most fun kids can have with a paintbrush!
Kids will be able to create their own canvas and decorate a cupcake, before they head to Centre Court and sing along to classic Christmas carols with Media Personality Taryn Louch.
An excerpt from the Joburg Ballet’s Snow White, choreographed by Iain MacDonald, takes centre stage, brimming with all the wonder and magic of this much loved fairytale. Children will be enchanted by one of Joburg Ballet’s most popular productions, telling the story of Snow White and her beautiful but evil stepmother and the handsome prince with whom she lives happily ever after.
The evening will culminate in the Tree Lighting Ceremony, where the Hyde Park Corner Christmas Tree will be lit for the first time, and will remain lit and on display for the Holiday season.
Christmas isn’t a season. It’s a feeling. Happy Holidays from all of us at Hyde Park Corner.
