Augustine, a prestigious menswear brand with a reputation for detail, has named musician Capso as the face of their Autumn/Winter 2016 Collection shown at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week on Saturday, 12 March 2014.
Capso is the new generation of artist-businessman, revolutionizing music with the reach of mobile technology. Not only has he had a number of local South African and international hits, found himself on stage with Akon and collaborating on music with Wyclef Jean, but he also runs his own recording and production studio, Wired Sound Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa.
“I was attracted to Augustine’s AW16 Fall collection because the pieces are futuristic and advanced. Some of the garments even allow for the integration of technology with practical designs where you can put in your phone or headphones and stuff. I love that!” said Capso. He added that, “Their leatherwork and insane attention to detail is unlike anything I have ever seen before.”
He goes on to say “I think Justine from Augustine is a genius artist and a forward thinking innovator. Her stuff is mad classy, but shocking with its heart-stopping style. I need to stay surrounded by people like this. They help to keep me pushing the boundaries with my music art too.”
The Augustine AW16 “Formal De Hyde” Collection focuses on tailoring and formal attire made from the finest cloth combined with an edgy futuristic digital animal or ‘hyde’ prints. This collection has a strong African undertone while fusing traditional tailoring and leather craftsmanship, contrasted by the natural and soft textures of high quality leather and wools.
