Ndalo Media is proud to announce the appointment of Thabiso “TT” Tema as the new Editor of DESTINY MAN, effective from 1 February 2016.
Like every brand that’s in the business of fulfilling its own destiny, a season of renewal is a necessity. DESTINY MAN’s season has come. Tema is the perfect man to steer the voice of the DESTINY MAN brand and ensure that its business and lifestyle content remain relevant to its dynamic readers.
Tema is currently the presenter of the popular drive-time current affairs show on talk station Power FM and is an anchor on Africa’s biggest sports network, Supersport. A respected media practitioner, he has been a fixture in the South African broadcast space for nearly two decades. In a career that began back in 1997, Tema has demonstrated remarkable versatility and adaptability, which has seen him present on stations targeting diverse audiences, such as SAfm, Metro FM, Classic FM and BBC Radio and TV. Tema has also displayed a notable degree of courage and vision by challenging himself, believing in start-ups and being part of pioneering media teams. He was part of the team that launched SA’s first 24-hour TV news station, eNCA, in 2008 and played a role in the launch of the country’s first black-owned talk radio station, Power FM, in 2013.
Tema now makes what he terms a “natural career progression” to the world of print and digital journalism, bringing a wealth of experience to his role as Editor of DESTINY MAN. As a recipient of numerous accolades, including two prestigious SAB Journalist of the Year awards, his new role as Editor is well deserved.
Khanyi Dhlomo, CEO of Ndalo Media, says: “We are very excited to have Thabiso on board. Ndalo Media is sure to benefit from his diverse journalistic experience, his understanding of who the modern, black, bold and distinguished man is and his incredible potential to add a dynamic voice to the publication and ensure that it remains top of mind for its existing and potential readers.”
