L’Oréal Professionnel is proud to announce that Eva Green – Bond girl in Casino Royale, heroin of the new hit TV series Penny Dreadful and star of the next film by Tim Burton, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, which will be released in 2016 – is the new international spokesperson for L’Oréal Professionnel.
Born in Paris on July 5, 1980, Eva Green possesses a feminine and magnetic beauty. She is one of the most talented international actresses of her generation. She also has a great awareness of fashion and beauty trends. Eva is particularly renowned for her translucent complexion, blue eyes and her signature brunette hair, which she often transforms for films and red carpet appearances. Whether wearing a loose, wavy style or a sophisticated and glamorous chignon, Eva Green always channels powerful femininity.
Eva takes pride in her hair and has built a relationship of trust with her hairdresser. “As an actress, hair is so important. Eva began her film career in 2003. She was offered her first screen role by Bertolucci in his film The Dreamers. She went on to star alongside Romain Duris in Arsène Lupin in 2004 before heading to Hollywood in 2005. She launched her international career after just a few months thanks to Ridley Scott who cast her as his leading lady, Sybille, in Kingdom of Heaven.
In 2006, she joined the ranks of the famous and beautiful Bond girls, landing the role of Vesper Lynd alongside Daniel Craig in Casino Royale. She continued to appeal to audiences in large-scale productions like Dark Shadows alongside Johnny Depp and Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For as well as independent films like Perfect Sense and White Bird.
In 2015, she will begin shooting Tim Burton’s new film Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children while also continuing to appear in the hit American TV series Penny Dreadful, in which she plays the title role alongside Josh Hartnett.
